Ryan O’Donnell

Ryan, a first year student studying Business Administration and International Studies is an active member of the Service-Leadership Team’s Hunger & Homelessness Committee at NC State and has provided leadership on several programs including Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, the OxFam Hunger Banquet and World Vision’s 30-hour famine.  Ryan also provided leadership for a Guinness Book of World Record food drive at his high school that supported the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.  Last year he and his peers, along with other partners from around the state, collected 559,885 pounds of food.  This was the largest food drive in one day in a single location.  After setting the Guinness World Record, Ryan wanted to do more.  He spearheaded this year’s food drive at his high school which took place the first week of March 2012.  Ryan has demonstrated that his  is committed to helping end hunger and has the potential to provide significant leadership in the future.
